Connection and sign-up records

We record IP addresses, timestamps, and daily request counts to investigate spam, suspicious account activity, and abuse. An IP identifies an internet connection and may be shared by several people or hidden behind a VPN. Security collection runs independently of optional analytics and marketing choices and does not need a new cookie.

Verified account visits also record your PISS account ID. For a newly created account, we save the first IP we observe within ten minutes of registration. This is the connection seen by this website after Google sign-in, not a record of your activity on Google. We cannot recover sign-up IPs for older accounts.

These records are available only through restricted site administration. They are kept in a rolling 30-day window; expired records are deleted when the site next processes security activity, so deletion may be delayed while the site is idle. Deleting an account does not immediately erase these short-lived security records. They are not used for advertising or shared with ad networks.

Optional campaign measurement

Marketing is off until you accept it or save specific choices. Campaign visits counts daily browsers arriving from tagged PISS links. Campaign sign-ups connects a new account registration to the most recent consented campaign. Both choices work without an account and are separate from account analytics and email subscriptions.

We store a random browser ID, campaign source, medium and name, approximate country supplied by our hosting provider, and daily counts. Sign-up measurement adds a one-way coded account reference to avoid duplicate registrations. These records are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Marketing records do not contain full IP addresses. We do not send them to ad networks or collect full URLs, ad click IDs, form contents, names, or email addresses for marketing.

Your browser, your choice

The essential __Host-piss-cookie-choice cookie remembers that you made a choice for 180 days. The optional __Host-piss-marketing cookie holds the random browser ID for up to 180 days, and is only set after acceptance. Both are limited to the current PISS domain, secured for HTTPS, and unavailable to JavaScript.

You can reopen Cookie settings at any time. Rejecting marketing deletes the marketing cookie and that browser’s stored campaign records. Turning off one category deletes its counts. Browser privacy signals pause measurement. Choices are specific to this browser and domain, including when signed out.

Counts and coded sign-up references use a rolling 30-day window and are purged when the service next processes marketing activity or a saved choice. Consent and the last campaign context last until the choice expires or is withdrawn. Deleting your account through this site also clears marketing records currently linked to it.

Your PISS account

Google sign-in shares your name, email address, and profile picture with Firebase Authentication. Firebase stores those details and a unique account ID. We use your ID to identify your PISS account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, or contacts.

Sign-in and deletion

Firebase stores sign-in information in your browser for the session, or between visits if you choose Stay signed in. You can sign out or delete your PISS account from the account page. Deleting it removes the Firebase account record; it does not delete your Google account. Google and the hosting provider may retain operational records under their own policies.

You choose what to share

Page-visit counts and page-load performance are separate, optional choices on your account page. Both start off. We collect them only while you are signed in and have enabled the relevant choice. Your saved choices apply across devices. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track pauses collection in that browser.

Page visits record the public page name and daily count. Performance records one of three loading-time ranges: under 2 seconds, 2–5 seconds, or over 5 seconds. These counts are linked to your PISS account ID. They do not include your name, email, IP address, browser fingerprint, form entries, query strings, referrers, or session recordings.

Change or clear your choices

Save your choices from Privacy choices on the account page. Turning a category off also deletes its stored counts. Turn off and delete analytics clears both categories and resets your choices to off. Deleting your PISS account through this site also clears its analytics.

Daily counts use a rolling 30-day window; older counts are removed when the analytics service next processes a request. We retain your saved choices and their update time so we can respect them. Account and security records remain separate from optional analytics.

Gameplay videos

Video pages load YouTube only after you select Play. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may then receive the technical information needed to play the video.

External applications

Playtest and talent applications open in a separate form service. Responses are handled under that service's terms and are not stored in this website's database.

Playtest recordings

Gameplay, voice, quotes, names, handles, or likenesses may be recorded or published only within the explicit written choices presented before a session. Private product feedback can remain private.

Partner contact

Email and Discord links open those services. They handle your contact details and messages; this website does not retain them.

Operational records

The hosting provider may process standard security and request logs needed to deliver the site. Optional analytics and consented campaign measurement are stored by this website through its hosting provider. We have not connected Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or other advertising networks. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
